The FLOW-BUS DDE (Dynamic Data Exchange) Server is gathering data from the modules connected to the FLOW-BUS, and at the same time transferring data to this modules. DDE provides the user a basic level of interprocess communication between windows applications and is therefore, the most flexible way to transfer data between windows applications. By using DDE commands, sent by software, to the DDE Server, data can be sent or requested from the FLOW-BUS. Some examples of programs with DDE communication facilities are: - LabView (National Instruments) - InTouch (ATS, Applied Tech Systems) - Windmill (Windmill software Ltd.) - WinWorX (Iconics) - Wizcon (Wizcon) - FIX - Self made applications with Visual Basic, Visual C, C++ The FlowDDE Server software is e.g. needed with: - FlowPlot (Bronkhorst) - FlowView (Bronkhorst) - FLUICALŪ (Bronkhorst) (In ‘Manual Mode’ FLUICALŪ can also run without FlowDDE Server) Note: Older (16-bit) versions Bronkhorst FlowDDE Server software V1.xx and V2.xx can not be replaced by this 32-bit version FlowDDE Server software without replacing the firmware of the RS232/FLOW-BUS interface. Changes: - Added: parameters responding with 'no such parameter at this process/module' aren’t polled again. By not polling them again, general speed becomes higher. The parameter will be disabled after retry count as set at 'Retry network access' in Settings. This behaviour can be disabled by checking 'Enable communication to unavailable parameters' in Settings. - Added: parameters can be of two types. E.g. P278 DSP register address parameter now has 2 types, so at ‘older’ instruments the char type is used and at new instruments long type. Invalid parameter type error messages on connect or poll should therefore no longer occur. Similarly, P52 Cycle time parameter has 2 types. - Added: search box in View modules/parameters. - Fixed: check parameter value before sending. Some 'Unknown error’s no longer occur and the correct error message is given. - Fixed: mouse pointer set to Normal when Change node address fails. - Fixed: parameter info in Parameters per channel functions for parameters without default value. - Changed: removed 2 second pause after polling parameters from ‘old’ instruments. - Changed: parameter database update: P153 is polled, P142 is available for DEPx. - Changed: smaller Test Form, but larger parameter name box. - Changed: Test Form has FlowDDE(2) in its title bar. | ||

In this situation you have to check that the digit grouping symbol of currency does not contain a . (point). If so, choose any other character.
